Woolwich Food Bank



Fresh bread and buns are available to Food Bank participants every Monday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Bread is made available through COBS Bread, 'end of the day program.'

Each Friday those registered with the Food Hamper program can drop into the community room for an assortment of food items with a focus on fruits and vegetables. This program is available every Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. To book your time slot for pick-up please call our office.

Fruit & Vegetable Market


Every Monday throughout the school year our Lunch Crunch Program is offered. Providing families of low-income living in Woolwich Township, and parts of northern Wellesley Township, with nutritious foods for children to take to school.

The Hamper provided follows the Canadian Food Guide and consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, and grains (through our bread program). The program runs on Mondays from 11am-4pm out of our community room on a drop in basis.

Our Food Bank provides a food hamper to suit the size and needs of your family. Participants can come shop for food, and select food items the whole family will enjoy. Items available for selection include non-perishable food items along with fresh milk, vegetables, fruit, eggs, margarine and meat. Infant needs including diapers and formula are provided. Additional support services are also available to participants as needed.

If you require a Food Hamper please call  WCS Information Centre. Eligible participants must meet two criteria; be of low income and live in Woolwich Township or the north part of Wellesley Township. (519) 669-5139

In the summer months, Home Hardware Head Office will deliver produce items from their employee-initiated garden. Produce will vary based on what is being grown and what is ready.  Those who use our Food Hamper Program can come Mondays from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to choose items.

WCS uses Statistics Canada's low-income as a guideline for who is eligible to receive monthly hampers. If you are not sure whether you are eligible please call 519-669-5139
