Food Hamper Program
Our Food Bank provides a food hamper to suit the size and needs of your family. Participants can come for a food shop, and select food items the whole family will enjoy. Items available for selection include non-perishable food items along with fresh milk, vegetables, fruit, eggs, margarine and meat. Infant needs including diapers and formula are provided. Additional support services are also available to participants as needed.
If you are in need of a Food Hamper please call WCS Information Centre. Eligible participants must meet two criteria; be of low-income and live in Woolwich Township or the north part of Wellesley Township. (519) 669-5139
Lunch Crunch Program
The Lunch Crunch Program is offered through the Woolwich Food Bank. Providing families of low-income living in Woolwich Township, and parts of northern Wellesley Township, with nutritious foods for children to take to school.
The Hamper provided follows the Canadian Food Guide and consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, grains and a meat alternative.
Lunch Crunch runs each Monday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on a drop in basis. Call 519-669-5139 information on receiving a Lunch Crunch Hamper.
Summer Food Share Program
In the summer months, Home Hardware Head Office will deliver produce from their employee initiated garden. Produce will vary based on what is being grown and what is ready. Apples are also donated by Pete Milanovich Farm in August. Those who use our Food Hamper Program can come Tuesday's from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. to choose items.
Fresh Food Friday
Each Friday those registered with the Food Hamper program can drop in to the office for an assortment of food items with an focus on fruits and vegetables. Available every Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Bread Program
Fresh bread and buns are available to Food Bank participants every Monday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Bread is made available through COBS Bread, end of day program.
