What are the types of planned giving are available to you?

​

1) Donating through your will - this is simple way to donate today to help WCS down the road. You can choose to leave a percentage, sum of money or a residual amount after other needs are taken care of once you pass. The great thing about a will is that you can change it at any time.

2) Donating though securities - You can donate publicly traded securities which can include bonds, mutual funds or stocks. This can be done through your will.

​

3) Donating through life insurance - Donating through life insurance is another great way to give. All you have to do is name Woolwich Community Services as a beneficiary of your existing policy. This option guarantees a full tax receipt to your estate.

4)Gift of retirement savings plans - RRSPs (registered retirement savings plans) or RRIFs (registered retirement income funds) can  help you reduce the taxes on your estate and protect its value for those you have named in your will.

​

5) Gifts of property/Gift in-kind -  real estate, special collections, cultural items and works of art. These types of gifts may be kept by Woolwich Community Services or sold. A donation receipt can be made out for a the value of the items and used for income tax purposes. Gifts of property/gift in-kind must be approved by Woolwich Community Services.
